The fastest way to reach me is email:

I read everything. I reply to most things within a few days, though it can take longer during busy weeks.

What I'd especially like to hear about

Corrections. Charging prices and state statutes are the two things on this site most likely to go stale. If a network has changed how it bills, if your utility's EV rate schedule now has different off-peak hours than a page says, if your state amended its right-to-charge law, or if an inspector in your jurisdiction reads a code article differently than a page describes — tell me, and if you can point at the tariff sheet, the bill text, or the correction notice, that is even better. Screenshots of a session receipt are useful and I will not publish them without asking.

Gaps. The list of guides came from questions I could not get answered without reading the source myself. If you got stuck somewhere I have not covered — an HOA that demands something odd in the application packet, a sub-metering arrangement in a shared garage, a warranty clause that reads differently than the summary, a connector combination nobody documents — that is a suggestion I want.

Questions. If you send a question I can answer by pointing at a code article, a statute, a tariff sheet, or a manufacturer's document, I will do that, and if the same question turns up repeatedly it usually becomes a guide. Please note that I answer where the rule is written, not what you should do — see the limits below.

What I can't help with

  • Deciding whether your particular panel, service, or wiring can carry a charger — that is a load calculation a licensed electrician performs on site, with your equipment in front of them
  • Telling you a job is safe or code-compliant, or reviewing a design, drawing, or photograph of work already done
  • Telling you what your local inspector or authority having jurisdiction will accept — only they can say
  • Interpreting your lease, your HOA's CC&Rs, or your state's statute as applied to your dispute, or acting for you in one
  • Diagnosing a fault in a vehicle, charger, or public station, or estimating what a repair costs
  • Recommending or ranking a specific charger brand, installer, or charging network
  • Requests to publish sponsored posts, paid guest articles, or link insertions
